Lawyers may use cloud services in their practice but must be conscientious to comply with the duties imposed by the Rules to knowledgeably and competently maintain confidentiality and supervisory standards. The Rules require that lawyers make reasonable efforts to meet their obligations to preserve the confidentiality of client information and to confirm that any third-party service provider is likewise obligated. Connecticut Bar Ass’n.
